These colorful lizards are known for their ability to change their color to blend with their environment; their long, sticky tongue; and their eyes, which can be moved independently of each other.
When I was in the North, it was something that was easy to come across. To my surprise, it is not that common in the South of Nigeria. They are often sighted in certain markets in captivity. They are generally not harmful to humans.
Anybody who pretends a lot is often called a chameleon.
