His last Words were:
“My blood will nourish the tree that will bear the fruits of freedom. Tell my people that I love them. They must continue the fight.”
Solomon Mahlangu was a South African ANC freedom fighter. He had some military training in Mozambique 🇲🇿 and Angola 🇦🇴
He is remembered every year. Solomon Mahlangu is commemorated in the Solomon Mahlangu Freedom Square in his hometown of Mamelodi, Pretoria, SA. The square is focused on a bronze statue of Mahlangu.
Many universities, schools, colleges, and roads have been named after him in South Africa, Mozambique, Tanzania, and Angola.
