The demand for Anioma State predates the creation of Old Bendel State, Edo State, Delta State, and even the Niger Delta and South-South geopolitical zones.

We have all the necessary resources to become a state. The agitation for Anioma State has been ongoing for over 30 years. Creating Orlu State doesn’t make sense. It’s like someone needing six fingers but, instead of finding the missing finger, he cut off one of his existing five fingers to make six. That doesn’t make sense.

What we need is Anioma State, not Orlu State.
