Nigerian Government Desperate For Negotiation, Not Nnamdi Kanu
Food for thought;
Nigerian Government Desperate For Negotiation, Not Nnamdi Kanu
Family Writers Press International have searched through the internet and we found out that the news Nigeria unprofessional media handles are trending is; “Nnamdi Kanu Seeks Negotiation With The Federal Government”. Even when the video evidence of what Nnamdi Kanu said in court on the said day is there in the internet for all to see and testify, the Nigerian media kept on trending false news due to their biaseness.
Did Nnamdi Kanu Seek Negotiation With The Federal Government? NO!
In the video where the TVC Media personell interviewed and was trying to force some words out of Nnamdi Kanu’s mouth, Nnamdi Kanu told her that it is the Nigerian government that are holding him and that they should tell him what they want to do with him. Nnamdi Kanu boldly told her that he did not move for any negotiations.
Now when Barrister Aloy Ejimakọ cuts in, he quoted the part of the Nigerian constitution that demands for negotiation between any two parties in cases like that of Nnamdi Kanu. When Barrister Aloy ended, Nnamdi Kanu replied that Aloy Ejimakọ just quoted what the Nigerian constitution said, not him (Nnamdi Kanu) that said it.
The truth is that it is pertinent to note that the Federal Government of Nigeria who kidnapped Nnamdi Kanu from Kenya in 2021 are tired of this case, hence, they moved for negotiations through Aloy Ejimakọ.
Barrister Aloy Ejimakọ in conjunction with Nnamdi Kanu’s siblings are the ones that called for this negotiation with the Nigerian government probably because, the government having exhausted all their lawless arsenals to jail Nnamdi Kanu are now looking for a soft landing. Nnamdi Kanu did not call for the negotiation and he is not intending to call for it in future because he is not a criminal. Barrister Aloy Ejimakọ, Nnamdi Kanu’s siblings and the Federal Government are the ones calling for the negotiation and they are doing it without Nnamdi Kanu’s awareness.
By the way, an accused who is standing trial in any court of jurisdiction has no right whatsoever to call for negotiations. The law will try him and when he is found guilty of the accusation, he will be punished. In the case of Nnamdi Kanu, he has been tried and all the charges against him were trashed. Nnamdi Kanu won the case as the Court of Appeal in October 13, 2022 ordered the Federal Government to release him which the Federal Government disobeyed.
It is the Nigerian government that wants the negotiation as they have exhausted all their strength against Nnamdi Kanu, so they indirectly called for it through Barrister Aloy Ejimakọ who only knows the deal he signed with the Federal Government.
Whatever comes out of this negotiation plan between Barrister Aloy Ejimakọ, Nnamdi Kanu’s siblings and the Federal Government over Nnamdi Kanu, people must note that it was not Nnamdi Kanu that called for it and those that did, did that without his awareness and we may not be totally wrong to say that Nnamdi Kanu is undergoing a blind trial in Nigeria, both from his new legal team and the federal government.
It is equally important to note that if the government is sincere and sure that there won’t be fowl plays, Nnamdi Kanu and IPOB might accept their call for peaceful negotiations.
