Omotola was born on February 7, 1978 in Lagos, Nigeria. She is of Ondo descent and grew up with her parents and two younger brothers, Tayo and Bolaji Jalade. Her mother, Oluwatoyin Jalade, worked at J.T Chanrai Nigeria, and her father, Oluwashola Jalade, worked at the YMCA and the Lagos Country Club. Tragically, Omotola lost her father when she was just 12 years old, which had a profound impact on her .
Omotola attended Chrisland School, Oxford Children School, and Command Secondary School in Kaduna. She briefly attended Obafemi Awolowo University before completing her studies in Estate Management at Yaba College of Technology from 1996 to 2004 .
