1. It’s the oldest district in Zambia discovered in 1890 and it was called ABERCON before the name changed to Mbala in 1968.
2. It sits at the boarder between Zambia and Tanzania.
3. The first fire in Africa was discovered at Kalambo falls in Mbala town.
4. The second world war ended in Mbala.
5. Lake Chila holds the original Machine guns that were used during the second world war.
6. Mbala is the home to ZAMBIA’S third largest Museum called Moto Moto museum.
7. It’s home for the Mambwe Lungu speaking people who are believed to be Originated from east Africa.

8 It is home for ZAMBIA’S deepest water falls, Kalambo falls.

9. Mbala has the original paintings that were used by the san people.
