In Bioko, Equatorial Guinea, you’ll find Igbo tribe.

These are Igbos who according to history, migrated from Arochukwu in Abia State and settled in Bioko during the Spanish exploitation in the 19th century.

They speak Igbo language as well, but actually what sounds like a native Igbo.

Though Igbo language has remained one of the recognized languages in Equatorial Guinea.

It is said that these Igbo people of Bioko say, “Bị̀á ị́kàà” for “Come here”

And if you’ve heard Arochukwu people speak, you’d understand better

Ndigbo call that country “Panya”.

We also have Igbo people in Jamaica

These are said to be Igbo people who were taken to Jamaica as slaves

And there’s some Igbo language in the Jamaican Patois language whic has some little mix of the igbo language

These Igbo slaves in Jamaica were refered to as the “Red Eboe” because of their light skin.
