The Bible calls for honesty and integrity as foundational virtues for those who seek to live a life pleasing to God. In Exodus 23:8, we are commanded, “Do not accept a bribe, for a bribe blinds those who see and twists the words of the innocent.” This admonition emphasizes the destructive power of corruption in blinding truth and distorting justice.
