One of the problems we’re having in IGBO Land is that many of us don’t question history.

The wise ask questions. They make research to know more on how a thing came about.

We must not believe whatever we see or hear people say.

When IKA, ENUANI, UKWUANI, IKWERRE, OGBA, IHURUOHA, EKPEYE and some other groups claimed to be bini peopleโ€ฆ.many people started asking questions about how can huge population of IGBO speaking people deny being IGBO and accepting bini ancestry.
Many questions were asked, researchers started making research to prove that narrative wrong and that is what the IGBO UNIFICATION MOVEMENT is doing today to tackle lies, destroy identity crisis and make the IGBOS one people.
We questioned the history of the bini origin of this group of IGBOS and we discovered that it’s all lies.
This movement made many IGBOS to know that IGBOS have been living in IDU kingdom even before oduduwa that gave birth to bini kingship, it’s people and many yoruba kingship were born. The Ogiamien and Esan people will tell you the same thing just like I just said.

The reason why I’m saying this is because many of us here don’t like debate.
I posted about Olauda Equiano some days ago and talked about him originating from Ashaka community in Ukwuani and some people in the comment section started telling meโ€ฆwho are you to question the works of Catherine Acholonu?
Someone even told me that I’m trying to spoil the little trust that my followers have for me.
I’m not here for content creation. I’m not here to entertain people. I’m not here for people to love me or believe everything I say.
But when we come here to debate and combine heads to know about how something came aboutโ€ฆwe are expected to bring our ideas to get good result.

Late Mrs Catherine Acholonu said that Isieke community in Anambra state is the home of Olauda Equiano is not enough evidence or prove for it not to be questioned.
History must be questioned whether we like it or not.

Read the book of Olauda Equiano and understand that the only reason why some people are claiming that he is from Isieke was because of ICHI marks and the forbidding of snakes based on what Olauda said in his book.

An intelligent person will start askingโ€ฆ
Do Ashaka community in Ukwuani forbids the killing of snakes?
Do they give ICHI marks?
This are questions that people should be asking.

Olauda said in his book that what they call white people is OYE EBOE (Oyibo)
You will now start asking yourself. Do other parts of IGBO Land call white people Oyibo or it’s only ANIOMA people that calls the white people Oyibo?

Olauda said that what they call year is
AH AFFOE (ASO) the ff in his spelling is SS.
Some Anambra dialects call year ARO, AHO, there is no S in their vocabulary when they say year. But in Ukwuani, we called year ASUA which is exactly what Olauda wrote in his book.
Can you how see the direction that I’m going?

You will start asking yourself this question.
Are the men and women in Isieke community during the time of Olauda warlike just as Olauda explained in his book that the women and men fight with spears?
This are questions to be asked.

According to Olauda Equiano, his community is not far from Bini and ABOH.

Do you know that EBO means ABOH too?

The first IGBOS to come in contact with the white people are ABOH people and it’s believed that their language is called ABOH. That’s why the whites wrote it as EBO (ABOH)
And the east, west, south and northern IGBOS are called EBO.

Let’s look at another angle here.
Olauda Equiano said that his community is being ruled and controlled by elders and chiefs.
He said that he came from EBO country in his book.
Do you know that EBO means KINDRED?
In Ukwuani, we sayโ€ฆOshini EBO nnem bia (he came from my mother’s kindred)
Oshini EBO nnadim bia (he came from my father’s KINDRED)
If Olauda is from Ashaka community, it might mean that he is saying that he is from the KINDRED country (EBO)

What are your thoughts concerning this brief analysis?
If you have read Olauda Equiano book, what are your findings concerning his origin?
