Onitsha-Asaba crossing; 1940s.
This was the only way people, cars and good crossed from Asaba to Onitsha and Onitsha to Asaba before the Onitsha bridge was built in 1965.
Ferry crossing was used for a pretty long time. That way or crossing “died” immediately the bridge was erected over the River Niger.
