Joe King Kologbo, seen in this photo, was known for some popular highlife songs. However, his most popular song was “Sugar Daddy”. The song was an experimental highlife/disco outing.
He was born in Warri but was based at Aba, in todays Abia State in the 1960-1970s.
The Range Rover seen here was used for one of his album cover belongs to the legendary Fela Anikulapo Kuti.
People are writing that Fela had more than 50 cars. Am not aware of how many cars Fela had but I know he had 2 units of Range Rover SUVs.
Am sure help would come from those who know more.

After due consultations, facts about this ride are as follows:
Correction Greg. That Range Rover belonged to my father, Silas Ege the MD of Electromat Records, the label on which this album “Sugar Daddy” was released in 1980. The photo was taken outside our house in Ilupeju, Lagos. I was standing outside when this photo was taken.
Fela was my father’s friend and he had two white Africa 70 branded Range Rovers similar to ours.

Classy look of rover is a stand out piece 💙
