- The Ancient Goi Community
This is a legendary and mythical community close to Bodo. Oral history has it that it was once a boisterous and one of the earliest community in Ogoniland but went extinct when they offended the gods. Gberesuu is the founder of K. Dere in Gokana local government. Myth has it that he did not die a normal death and buried but rather, he just descending downward into the earth crust leaving a deep gaping hole at where he stood. The hole is believed to remain till this day and the people of K. Dere will be more than pleased to show it to you. - The grove of bari Gokana
Although bari Gokana is now worshipped as a deity, history has it that he was a missionary with a bell and Bible to which a human was sacrificed to against his wish. It is believed that the bell and Bible he came with are still kept in the grove where his adherents worship him till today.
