Tomorrow, 20th April 2025, Oye (Orie) market day by Awka custom and tradition, the honored Mmonwu na‑gu‑aro, the Oganachi masquerade of Okperi Village, will emerge from its Udo Shrine to perform the sacred Dance of the Gods around Awka. Immediately after, the Igu Aro rites will commence, and the official date for this year’s Egwu Imoka Festival will be revealed to all Awka descendants.
