Guided tour at Tanguet-OUATTARA Military Hospital.

In the morning of 23 May 2025, Captain Ibrahim TRAORÉ, President of Faso, Head of State visited the Tanguet-OUATTARA Military Hospital, located in the Camp Ouezzin-COULIBALY, to encourage the staff and give guidance for better care of the injured and sick.

From the oral clinic to medical imaging, the 3-block surgical department and an intensive care unit, the Head of State noted the working conditions, efforts and services provided by the staff in this 60-capacity military hospital facility pull out beds.

Doctor-Colonel Armel PODA, director of this military hospital, who led this guided tour, said he and his team were honored to receive the visit from the highest authority in the country. A visit in itself is a strong symbol of encouragement for all Burkina Faso’s military health services and solidarity with the fighters in medical care.

At the end of his visit and debriefing with the staff, the Head of State, Captain Ibrahim TRAORÉ gave firm instructions for the erection of new infrastructure and the procurement of state-of-the-art equipment to raise the level of the medical technical plateau.

“It is not normal for a fighter to suffer on the forehead and when he gets injured, he is still suffering in the hospital during his treatment,” the President of Faso denounced. He congratulated the staff and gave guidance for futuristic investments to make this medical centre a reference in the coming years and the term.
