Was slavery a choice?
Their is over 250 documented slave revolts in America, instances where a minimum of ten slaves partook in a revolt or conspiracy. The only reason it was possible to control African slaves, because they had just gone through an ordeal that left them in a state of shock and physical helplessness. Under this condition, African holocaust victims were ripe for controlling. As long as these controlled Africans have babies, they will raise a new generation of Africans to be controlled.
Slavery was never a choice for any African man anywhere. Slaves coming from Africa, shipped to the Caribbean’s still holding on to the heritage of their communal roots, would run away in maroon groups and established communities of runaways living in the wilderness or mountains, on the frontier. African Slaves born in America, had no where to hide, they would run off alone, with the skills they had learned on the plantation, to try to pass as free men. A survival tactic only observed in America.
Slavery was not a choice in the continent of Africa because it did not exist in Africa. Europeans always feared the African military , which is why they never penetrated Africa and was only allowed to secure forts on the African coast. Europeans were unable to conquer the interior and always had to come to terms with its chiefs.
