Chadwick Boseman walked into a quiet hospital room and his smile lit up the faces of children
Chadwick Boseman walked into a quiet hospital room and his smile lit up the faces of children who were facing some of life’s toughest battles. Even though he was secretly fighting his own battle, he made time to visit children at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. He played games, gave hugs, and really learned about each child’s story.
Not long before he passed away, Chadwick sent a message to a friend about two boys who didn’t have much time left. He said he wished he could make their lives a little easier. He knew what it felt like, and still he chose to show kindness to others.
Chadwick Boseman gave hope and light when it mattered most. Millions of kids saw him as a hero on the big screen in Black Panther, but the children in that hospital saw something even more special. They saw a real-life superhero. They saw someone who truly cared. Chadwick’s story teaches all of us that helping others even when we are struggling is the truest form of love.
