THE BLOOD OF JESUS, THE COST OF OUR SALVATION
Hebrews 9:22, John 19:28-30, Hebrews 12:24

The word cost can be defined in this context as the effort, loss or sacrifice necessary, to achieve or obtain something. The Lord Jesus Christ used his blood to pay for the full cost of our salvation.
Jesus was arrested, unjustly judged, crucified and died, but resurrected on the third day to the glory of the father. He died the most Ignominious type of death for our salvation. He was crucified between two thieves. He shed his blood for our salvation. No wonder the scripture recorded in Hebrews 9:22, that without the shedding of the blood, there will be no forgiveness of sins. It is also written in John 10:10, “the thieve comes only in order to steal, kill, and destroy. I have come in order that you might have life-life in all it’s fullness”.
Jesus successfully fought all the physical and spiritual battles for our salvation, which culminated at his death on the cross of Calvary. By his death, he paid comprehensively for the full cost of our salvation.
Specifically stated in John 19:28-30, that before Jesus died, after his crucifixion, he saw that everything that needed to be done as divinely planned has been completely accomplished. He said that he thirst and they gave him vinegar or sour wine to drink. He received it, then declared that, it is finished, and bowed his head and gave up his spirit. Nothing that would have been done that was not done. He suffered pain, shame, disgrace and humiliation. He was also beaten, rebuked, tortured, and crucified on the cross and above all died on the cross for our salvation. Obviously, it is right to state that he paid the full price for our salvation by his blood.
Before the end of this program, the Lord will show you mercy. You shall be remembered. Your doors shall be opened. Whatever you have lost will be recovered and restored, Those who have forgotten you will remember you for good. Your shame,
disgrace, humiliation, sorrow, sicknesses and infirmities shall be ended as they have been exhaustively settled on the cross, in the name of Jesus. Your case is settled.

PRAYER POINTS

1. Lord, by the power in your blood, attack my attackers and fight my battles in name of Jesus.
2. Lord, by the power in your blood, locate and destroy every power standing against the attainment of your purposes in my life, in the name of Jesus.
3. Lord, by the power in your blood, you shed for my salvation, grant me the uncommon grace that will enable me to finish strong, in the name of Jesus.
