EndSARS: Fresh 95 Obigbo Residents Discovered in Kaduna Prisons – Intersociety
Human rights group, the International Society for Civil Liberties and Rule of Law (Intersociety), has raised alarm over a fresh discovery of 95 Igbo residents secretly held in Kaduna prisons.
According to the group, these individuals were abducted from Obigbo in Rivers State during the aftermath of the October 2020 #EndSARS protest. Intersociety alleges that this was done with the knowledge of then Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike.
In a statement signed by Emeka Umeagbalasi, Board Chairman of Intersociety, the group revealed that out of the abducted residents, four have already died, while 257 others remain missing.
The detainees include both men and women, with their names publicly listed by the organization. Families of the victims have continued to cry out for justice.
