Even the whites understood the reason they jailed him. When they wanted peace to reign after 27 years in prison they went and released Nelson Mandela from prison. That time, the blacks were already preparing for wăr. It took Nelson Mandela’s words to calm them and make them drop their weapons. That’s power.

A leader who is illegally imprisoned is always the backbone of a movement. His kidnapping and torture have opened many gates, even those of the world powers. He can easily be recognised anywhere and respected. This is what Mazi Nnamdi Kanu is to IPOB presently. He is the biggest asset IPOB has. You can’t compare Mazi Nnamdi Kanu to any member of DOS. That’s because none of the members has in any way done what Mazi Nnamdi Kanu has done. Mazi have paid the price. Today in Nigeria every one now speak for him, including those that used to hate him. This is a man those that claim he is their leader is speaking against while using his picture as profile picture.

There is a reason the Nigerian government sent battalions of soldiers to his house to kị̀ll him in 2017. There is a reason they went to Kenya, spent billions of dollars to have him kidnapped, tortured and renditioned. They know the power he wields.

But some uninformed individuals in IPOB today don’t understand this power. I seriously think SOME persons within the leadership of IPOB are compromised (not all). These compromised individuals are few, yet they wield influence. They are the ones some elements are using to fọ́ọ́l people into thinking our assets have become our hindrance. These compromised few within the leadership of IPOB are the ones being used to make you think we are in trouble if we keep being under the command of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, whom they now address as a mere individual.

There are also some of them who have tested power, praise and authority that they don’t want to return to who they used to be any longer. They now think they can also be at the level of MNK.

If you are still thinking this is about protecting the struggle, then you are wrong.. Some of them have gone selfish. It is about them dethroning MNK. About them no longer seeing him as their leader. If this isn’t the case, don’t you think DOS has the power to end all these things? Why is it that these media warriors will insult MNK and all of them will keep mute, but once you counter them, they indirectly talk down on you?

Of course, DOS has the power to end everything happening now, but because the few compromised individuals are influential, they can’t stop it.

How can they stop it?

DOS can come out and say no media warrior should ever again in any way write against Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, whether directly or indirectly. They will proclaim that DOS is seeing that the struggle continues until Mazi Nnamdi comes out again to take charge of the struggle. Then they will make every effort to mend things with Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. This will go a long way to stop what is happening. But I doubt if they will even consider it. That’s why all the people they now recognise as media warriors are writing what they call the mistakes of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. That’s why Fearless Evangelist wrote and practically called MNK an unjust leader. That’s a man who is presently in detention.

Don’t allow yourself to be foooled. Mazi Nnamdi Kanu is our greatest asset. He is the one the Zoo is afraid of. We are simply his backbone. The zoo wants us to abandon him so that they can deal with him. We must not allow such to happen.

You must count yourself as an individual in support of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. We will support a leadership that is not using the media warriors to kick against Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, calling him an individual. Anyone who describes the position of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu as an individual is not your comrade. They are worse than infiltrators.

Mazi Nnamdi Kanu can walk into any country after release and he will be accorded respect because of the price he has paid. This is what some ignorant and compromised people went to steal from us. But they are already a failure.

Come 20th October, we all will demand the release of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. And every lover of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu must answer his call for fundraising. We owe him that if not for anything, but for the sacrifice he made for our freedom.
