THE BIAFRA SECESSION QUEST IS THE GRAVEST UNDOING OF IGBO PEOPLE……!!!
Meet Professor Kenneth Onwuka Dike, the man who made history as Nigeria’s first Professor and a true pioneer in African education and history.
Born in Awka, Anambra State in 1917, Professor Dike rose from humble beginnings to become one of Africa’s brightest intellectual lights. He studied at Fourah Bay College, Sierra Leone, and later in England, where he earned his doctorate in History.
At a time when the world saw Africa through the eyes of colonialism, Dike stood boldly and rewrote the story, proving that Africa had its own history, civilizations, and greatness long before colonial rule.
He became the first Nigerian Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ibadan, founded the Institute of African Studies, and authored the famous book “Trade and Politics in the Niger Delta (1830–1885)”, a masterpiece that changed how African history was told forever.
Professor Dike believed education was the key to true independence. Through his work, he inspired generations of Nigerian scholars, leaders, and historians. Today, the Kenneth Dike Library at the University of Ibadan stands tall as a symbol of his legacy and brilliance.
His story reminds us that excellence has no tribe — but the Igbos have always been on the lead, despite their haters.
Professor Kenneth Dike remains a pride of Nigeria, a symbol of knowledge, and a legend who gave Africa back her voice.
