BREAKING: Trump’s threat to Nigeria: Army Chief Jets to Borno, Meets with Troops

Nigeria’s Chief Of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Waidi Shuaibu on Thursday embarked on operational visit to Joint Taskforce North East Operation Hadin Kai.

Shuaibu’s visit is his first time in Borno State since his new appointment and is also coming after U.S President Donald Trump’s threat to carry out military strikes against Islamists in the Northern part of the country over their involvement in alleged Christian genocide.

While addressing troops, Shuaibu conveys President Tinubu’s message of resolve to winning the fight against insurgencies in the region.

The Army Chief is also expected to meet with other military formations in the North East.
