Meet the Judge Who Presided Over Nnamdi Kanu’s Case and Delivered the Life Imprisonment Sentence
Justice Omotosho, born on 21 July 1966, hails from Ijemo-Abeokuta in Ogun State. Although originally from Ogun, he spent most of his early years in Ajegunle, Lagos, where he grew up.
He first studied Economics and Business Management at the Lagos State College of Education before deciding to pursue a legal career. He later attended Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago-Iwoye, where he earned his law degree. In 1997, he was called to the Nigerian Bar.
Justice Omotosho joined the Federal High Court bench in 2015 and currently serves at the Abuja Division, where he presided over the high-profile case involving Nnamdi Kanu.
