IPOB is just an ideology, they are not devils like some people think. —–CP Ikioye Orutugu

(Anambra State commissioner of Police) During the 2025 Anambra police command media chat, the commissioner of Police, CP Orutugu Ikioye, lauded the effort of the police command and other joint security taskforce, in ensuring the safety of lives and properties in Anambra in the year 2025.

CP Ikioye Orutugu, mentioned the successful hosting of the president of the federal Republic of Nigeria, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, in Anambra, as one of his most remarkable achievements as the commissioner of Police in Anambra. He maintained that this feat will be on his curriculum vitae when retires from the police force.
The Anambra Commissioner of Police stated that despite the activities of the Indigenous people of Biafra (IPOB), Anambra police command was able to instill security during the Governorship election in November and president Tinubu’s visit to Anambra.

He further mentioned that IPOB is just an ideology and that people who are championing it are not devils like some people think. He posits that there are some people who are under IPOB yet they are still cooperating with the police and community to eradicate insecurity hence he maintained that IPOB and the Agitators for Biafra are not Devils.
