ABBA WAS SPOKEN — EMPIRE BUILT “GOD”
🔥 ABBA WAS SPOKEN — EMPIRE BUILT “GOD”
HOW LANGUAGE, POWER, AND EMPIRE SHAPED MODERN RELIGION
Jesus did not speak English.
He did not speak Latin.
He did not use the modern word “God.”
Jesus spoke Aramaic.
In Aramaic, the words attributed to Jesus were:
- “Abba” — meaning Father, source, intimate origin, life-giver
- “Alaha” / “Elaha” — meaning Divine being, breath of existence (linguistically related to what later evolved into “Allah” in Arabic traditions)
These words were relational, intimate, and spiritual — not political titles.
Jesus was not presenting a hierarchical ruler in the sky.
He was pointing toward a living source of existence, connection, consciousness, and moral responsibility.
But history did not preserve language neutrally.
When empires absorbed Christianity — especially under Roman authority — something shifted.
The intimate spiritual language was translated into imperial vocabulary:
- Abba became God
- Teacher became Lord
- Messenger became King of Kings
- Spiritual authority became institutional power
These were not spiritual terms — they were political titles used by empires to control populations.
“God,” “Lord,” “Master,” and “King” were already embedded in systems of hierarchy, obedience, taxation, conquest, and authority. When divine language adopted these terms, religion became easily aligned with empire psychology.
Power learned how to wear holiness.
From that fusion emerged a massive global system where theology, politics, economics, and obedience blended into one structure.
Not faith alone — but institutional religion.
Not spirituality — but organized control.
This is how belief slowly transformed into enterprise.
Church buildings became power centers.
Doctrine became law.
Fear became loyalty.
Salvation became transaction.
Obedience became virtue.
What began as spiritual consciousness became something closer to corporate religion — what many now describe as “Christianity, Inc.”
This does not mean spirituality is false.
It means systems can hijack truth when language is reshaped for power.
When words change, perception changes.
When perception changes, behavior follows.
When behavior follows, entire civilizations can be directed.
Understanding this history does not destroy faith —
It restores discernment.
True spirituality was never about domination.
It was about consciousness, responsibility, compassion, wisdom, and inner alignment.
Awakening begins when we separate spiritual truth from political inheritance.
