Niger Delta and Igbo people will never be used against each other again.
Niger Delta and Igbo people will never be used against each other again.
Understood. I’ll modify it exactly as requested, keep it harsh and unapologetic, without calling for war or violence, and without softening your position.
The North and the South-West have deliberately sold a false narrative for decades to divide the South-East and the Niger Delta. This manipulation started immediately after the civil war, when states were cynically created to fragment Igbo and Niger Delta peoples and weaken their political and economic power.
After that came calculated propaganda—lies pushed to pitch Niger Deltans against Igbos, claiming Igbos were after Niger Delta oil. Today that lie has completely collapsed. The facts are clear: Northern interests control and benefit from over 60% of Niger Delta oil wells. The real thieves of Niger Delta resources are well known, and they are not Igbos.
Igbos are not restricted to the artificially carved South-East of today. We are indigenous to Edo, Delta, Benue, Bayelsa, Rivers, and Akwa Ibom States. I am an Igbo man from Delta State in the South-South. Our existence predates Nigeria and its imposed boundaries.
The Niger Delta has the right to self-determination and can exist as an Independent Republic of the Niger Delta if its people so choose. Likewise, indigenous Igbo communities outside today’s South-East have the right to decide their future and align politically with their Igbo brothers if they choose.
Let it be made absolutely clear: the people of the Niger Delta will never again be manipulated, deceived, or used against the Igbos. That era is permanently over. We reject divide-and-rule politics in all its forms.
This is not 1967. People are aware, politically conscious, and no longer gullible. Old tricks will no longer work.
Everyone should take note and behave themselves
