To Mike Arnold–If You Truly Care About Oppressed Nigerians, Support Biafra

I appreciate your consistent efforts to highlight the suffering of various groups across Nigeria and your willingness to speak out. However, I must strongly disagree with your recent post with partly headline “55 years of “BIAFRA! SEPARATE! BIAFRA!” “

IPOB remains the only organization courageously and consistently advocating for the rights of suffering and oppressed Nigerians across the country. It is IPOB that has boldly globalized the horrific killings of Christians in Nigeria, particularly in the Middle Belt, a genocide that the Nigerian government continues to deny and shamelessly accuses IPOB of fabricating.

While I appreciate Mike Arnold’s efforts, I strongly disagree with his assertion that we have never reached out to other oppressed groups. In his words:

“Here is the reality. People groups across Nigeria are suffering the same evil. Middle Belt farmers. Niger Delta communities. Northern minorities. Voices you have never once reached out to. People who would stand with you.”

If this claim is true, then why does the Nigerian government repeatedly blame IPOB for “amplifying” the Christian genocide? The truth is clear: we have been doing our very best as an organization, but we are not yet a sovereign country. Our advocacy is severely limited by resources and capacity.

Let me state this plainly: The Biafra struggle is not just about Biafra, it is the struggle for the freedom of every oppressed people in Nigeria. Every ethnic nationality is suffering today precisely because Biafra is being forcibly held against its will. The chains that hold Biafra are the same chains holding every other oppressed group in bondage.

If Biafra regains its freedom, every ethnic nationality facing marginalization, injustice, and hardship will also be liberated. Mr. Arnold, Biafra is being held under the weight of the “Giant of Africa,” and as long as we remain suppressed, every oppressed people in Nigeria will continue to suffer.

Therefore, I urge you to speak the truth boldly. Tell every ethnic nationality in Nigeria and the international community, including the American government, to support the Biafra restoration project. Because the day Biafra rises, every oppressed soul in Nigeria will finally breathe the air of freedom.

The liberation of Biafra is the liberation of all!
