Welcome to Opata Idah Kogi state, the original home of Eri, father of some IgboOpata is the location of Igalamela people when they arrive Idah in 500 BC. Igalamela and Igalogba were the first set of Igala to come to Idah from Ibi kwararafa. On their arrival, the palace of Attah was built at location of Igalamela, and named Opu Attah (Opata) which means clan of Attah or location of Attah like Ogbaopu. Many Attah ruled from Igalogba and Igalamela one at a time. They ruled alternatively. During one turn of Igalamela, Ogala Eri or Eri for short was the king. He was started having problem in the kingdom, and the lack of support made Aji to become Attah as Eri had to leave Idah though with his full regalia as Attah or King to establish his own kingdom around Anambra river. Before Eri left Idah, he had children some of whom were married. Iguedor, the only female child married Iru, a man from Opata or Igalamela clan too. He is the father of Nando kingdom of Anambra North where one Mazi is from. The history of Nando being Igala has various videos and published research works online for confiermation including the work of Prof Ifenyiwa on Igbo Justice System and the youtube video of by Chief Albert. Clifford and Meeks and Boston confirmed that Eri was Igala too. But one thing is that apart from Eri giving Igala names to his children such as Onoja, Onogu, Agu, as they were bonr in Idah, he ensured that they were crowned by Attah Igala in Idah beginning from Eze Aguve (Boston, 1960) who was the second king of Aguleri.
