Title: The Lion Who Forgot He Was King

Long ago, deep in the golden savannah of Nyika, a terrible drought swept the land. Water holes vanished, trees withered, and the animals grew weak with hunger and thirst. In the heart of the chaos was Zuberi, a young lion born to royalty, but orphaned when his parents died in a fire. He was just a cub, and without guidance, he grew up among the timid animals—thinking he was just like them.

He roamed with gazelles, bowed to elephants, and ran from jackals.

“Don’t roar too loudly,” the monkeys would warn.
“Don’t walk too boldly,” the zebras would say.
“Don’t dream too highly,” the hyenas would laugh.

And so, Zuberi kept his head low and heart quiet.

One day, a great leopard invaded the savannah. He seized the last watering hole and forced the animals to bring him food or be driven into the desert.

The animals, scared and desperate, obeyed. None dared resist.

But an old tortoise named Tembo whispered to Zuberi one night:

“You are not one of them. You were born to lead. The lion within you sleeps, not dies.”

Zuberi shook his head. “I’m no king. I am just one of many.”

Tembo smiled. “Even the sun forgets it shines until the clouds move.”

That night, Zuberi climbed Pride Rock—the place his father once roared from. As the wind blew through his mane, something ancient stirred in him. He opened his mouth and let out a roar—deep, thunderous, royal.

The leopard heard it and fled. The animals looked up, stunned.

Zuberi didn’t chase glory. He simply stood tall, chest open, eyes steady.

From that day on, he led—not with force, but with courage, fairness, and the quiet strength of one who had once been weak.

And every full moon, the animals gathered beneath Pride Rock to hear Zuberi’s roar—and to remember that even the lost can find their crown.

Moral Lessons:
• Even if others don’t see your worth, never forget who you are.
• True leadership isn’t about dominance—it’s about rising when it matters most.
• Sometimes, the greatest power is simply remembering your strength.
