In 1324, an emperor of the Mali empire , Ab’kri, made a voyage to the Americas, leaving his throne in Timbuktu to a 32yrs young man who had gone down in history as Mansa Musa, known to have been the richest man in history.

There were others who had made an earlier voyage to the Americas from Africa before european barbarian tribes like the visigoths, the alemene, the astrogoths, the Anglo-Saxons, the franks, the goths, the oscans, the Magyars etc could learn to wear shoes or build a house that had a window, nor did they know cotton plant used for ancient cloth weaving.

The descendants of these barbarian tribes are today the Swiss (astrogotgs), the British (the anglo Saxons from the 6th century CE), the Spanish (Visigoths), the french (Franks), Germans (almain, alemene, goths), Lombards and so on…. These barbarians tribes got their first light of civilization from Romans, who in turn got there’s from the Greeks, who had gotten their first enlightenment from the ancient Egyptians, but not the current arabs who now occupy modern day Egypt but dark skin Africans.

The barbarian tribes that became Europe had united and shattered Rome in the 5th century CE, but couldn’t hold things together and descended back to primitive life from the 6th to the 11th century CE, a time known as the dark ages.

It was Africans and Arabs, known in Europe then as the Moors, that went into Europe in 711 CE and began the process of re-civilizing the barbarian tribes of Europe. The only place at that period that had anything in the light of civilization in Europe was Byzantine.

It was these Africans from north west Africa and the Senegal river that introduced soap into Europe… All of Europe had stopped bathing leading to plaques such as the black death. The first university in Europe was Salamanca, which was fashioned after the university of sankore in Timbuktu, it was taught in by Africans, Arabs and Jewish scribes, not Europeans…. even at that, it was the sons of kings that came to learn there, not commoners.

These group of Africans were sacked, massacred out of Europe completely on February 2, 1492. This was when the downward trajectory of the African began, and Europe tapped from the knowledge gotten from the Moors, the Arab and China (the seagoing people of that time) and began building ships. Portugal, one of the places where the Africans and Arabs had dominated, was the first to make the move out of Europe in search of greener pastures outside Europe.

Spain (descendants of Visigoths) followed, then British and others. Slavery and exploitation was then targeted on Africans, leaving most of Africa, and in time, India and the Americas, torn. For the Africans it wasn’t gunpowder technology learnt from china by Europeans that shattered their polities, but it was manipulations that set up the Africans for easy picking for the descendants of the ten European barbarian tribes.

Mansa Musa became a Muslim as his father had done for convenience. And iin 1324 , made an ostentatious pilgrimage to mecca, en route through Cairo spent so much gold, ‘turning beggars to rich men,’ so much so that he clashed the economy of the Mediterranean, there came to be too much gold in circulation, and it had taken 10 years to re-stabilized the economy of the region. It was the first and only time in history that one man influenced the economy of the world in such a manner.

The words went wide around the then known world and to Europe which was still trying to pull itself out of dire conditions of the dark ages, into the ‘renaissance’ era . By 1485, Portugal began building ships and voyaging to west Africa, seeking greener pastures to feed their dwindling populations.

This was the beginning of the downward trajectory of African polities. There was a saying among Arabs that “for the camels mange, use tar, against poverty, make a trip to the Soudan” (ibn hawqal), which meant west Africa.

It is worth noting that, no man, no matter how crime-inclined would cross the salt waters, under horrendous circumstances to steal from another home, if his situation back in his house felt homely or was homely. Europe and her cousin America fed it belly with spoils of plunder from Africa, india and the Americas. If this had not happened, Europe would have remained a backwater for a long time.
