Why is it that everything evil is dressed in Black?
Black market.
Black list.
Black mail.
Black death.
Black sheep.
But when money is flowing, they say you are in the Black.
When you graduate in mastery, you wear a Black belt.
When they want elegance, they call it Black tie.
You see, my people, this is not accident. This is not poetry. This is a deliberate war of words. A colonizer’s tongue poisoning your mind. They took the mystery of the night, the strength of melanin, the dignity of our skin — and they baptized it as evil.
They said: Light is good. Dark is bad. White is pure. Black is wicked.
They made you fear your own reflection!
But hear me: The Mad Man is not deceived.
I wear Black with pride. I walk in the Black of night like a lion. I drink Black coffee strong. I carry the Black spirit of Africa bold.
So from this day, let your tongue rebel.
Refuse to call evil by our name. Refuse to let Blackness be dirtied. Speak with fire! Call evil what it is — evil! Call corruption what it is — corruption! Do not baptize crime in the blood of my color.
Because Black is not the shadow of death.
Black is the womb of creation.
Black is the soil that feeds the world.
Black is the beginning — and the end.
