As Afor morning opens, I stand in reverence before the earth that carries my footsteps, remembering that a person who knows their roots must also understand the responsibility that comes with their name and destiny.
May my Chi awaken the wisdom within me. May the worthy teachings of my ancestors strengthen my spirit, and may I never mistake a difficult season for the end of my journey.
MY OFOR SPEAKS
Ofor of truth, justice and uprightness, let my words be sincere, my dealings be fair, and my hands remain free from deliberate wrongdoing. May I never seek elevation through another person’s downfall, nor exchange the dignity of my character for temporary gain.
On this Afor morning, may confusion give way to understanding, may fear give way to courage, and may my honest efforts lead me toward meaningful progress. May I recognise the doors worth entering and possess the wisdom to turn away from paths that threaten my peace.
May harmony dwell in my household. May my Chi strengthen my resolve, and may the memory of my roots remind me to live with courage, humility and integrity.

My Chi shall guide my steps. My Ofor shall stand for truth. My words shall carry wisdom, my hands shall labour honestly, and my spirit shall remain firm through every test. I shall build my destiny without betraying my character.
