WHY HUMANS ARE DIFFERENT FROM ANIMALS

WHY HUMANS ARE DIFFERENT FROM ANIMALS

WHY HUMANS ARE DIFFERENT FROM ANIMALS

A lion and a man stand in the same forest.

Same trees. Same wind. Same sky.

Both alive. Both breathing.

But only the man is asking himself:

“Why am I here? What is my purpose?”

That question is where the difference begins.

In many African traditions, animals are not empty of spirit.

A python can guard a healer.
A lion can carry the presence of an ancestor.
A calm snake that enters a home without harm may be a departed relative checking on the family.

They carry spirit.
That is why they are respected.

The Akan say everything living has Sunsum — the spirit that flows through creation.

A lion has it.
A river has it.
A tree has it.

But humans carry something more.

They also have Kra — the personal soul given by God before birth.

It carries destiny. It belongs to that one person alone.

Yoruba call it Orí.
Igbo call it Chi.
Zulu call it Umoya.

This is why only the human asks the question.

Animals do not receive a personal life mission.
They do not search for meaning.
They do not try to become more than what they already are.

A river flows where the land takes it.
It does not choose.
That is how animals move through the spirit world carried by spirit.

A person walks with a name, a reason, and the power to choose.
That is how humans move with a soul that carries purpose.

Animals were created for a sacred role.

Humans were created for a personal journey.

Both matter.

But only humans carry a soul with their own name on it chosen before birth, sent into the world with a purpose to fulfil.

❓ Have you ever felt that quiet question
“Why am I here?”
