The Argentine national team showed the world a disappointing display of indiscipline, unnecessary aggression, and what many would describe as anti-football. Having relied so heavily on Lionel Messi for years, they appeared emotionally unable to accept defeat when the game slipped away.
The match was marked by persistent fouls, confrontations, and poor conduct, not only from some players but also from members of the technical staff on the bench. In my view, the referee took far too long to issue a red card, despite the aggressive behavior being evident from the early stages of the match.
For decades, Africans have often been unfairly stereotyped as primitive or aggressive. Yet this final served as a reminder that poor sportsmanship and indiscipline are not defined by race or nationality—they can be displayed by any team under pressure. True champions are measured not only by how they win, but also by how they conduct themselves in defeat.

This is like a Torero (Spanish bullfighter) being struck by a wounded bull, the lead performer who executes the final kill: Matador 🧐. Good that they lost the game.

PRAYER FOR TODAY | Monday, July 20, 2026 🔥
Father, in the name of Jesus, let Your Word in Joel 2:25 come alive in our lives: “I will restore to you the years the locust has eaten.”
I decree that this week, every lost opportunity, blessing, favor, and breakthrough is restored. You will celebrate early answers to your prayers. Every delay is turned into divine speed, and every closed door opens by the power of God.
Whatsoever you have lost, receive it back in greater measure. This week, you shall rejoice, testify, and return with songs of victory.
In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.
