There was a time in Nigeria you were considered old at forty years old to be a Governor . General Aguiyi Ironsi was 41 years old when he became the Head of State and the below were his four governors:

Major General Johnson Aguiyi-Ironsi appointed four military governors to oversee Nigeria’s regions in January 1966. At the time of their appointments, the governors were all in their thirties.

Their specific ages during the 1966 appointments were:

• Lieutenant Colonel Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu (Eastern Region): 32 years old(born November 4, 1933).
• Major Hassan Usman Katsina (Northern Region): 32 years old (born March 31, 1933).
• Lieutenant Colonel Francis Adekunle Fajuyi (Western Region): 39 years old (born June 26, 1926).
• Lieutenant Colonel David Akpode Ejoor (Mid-Western Region): 33 years old (born January 10, 1932).

In May 1967, Head of State Yakubu Gowon (aged 33) appointed Nigeria’s first twelve state governors. The military administrators and police commissioners Gowon selected were notably young, with the youngest being 25 and the oldest 43.

The ages of the governors at the time of their appointment were:

• Audu Bako (Kano State) – 43

The question is can 25 years , 30 years , 40 years old Nigerians of today govern Nigeria as the President and Governors of thirty six states?
