MAZI NNAMDI KANU: A SYMBOL OF JUSTICE, EQUITY, AND COMPASSION.

In a video made available to the general public by Barrister Nnaemeka Ejiofor, a member of the legal team representing Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and IPOB, the brothers of two clients spoke with passion and enthusiasm as they narrated their story from Barrister Ejiofor’s office in Abuja.

Supporters of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, along with members of the general public, have long maintained that his advocacy extends beyond the restoration of Biafra.

They argue that he has consistently spoken about justice, fairness, and the rights of indigenous peoples whom they believe were brought together under British colonial rule on 1st January 1914 without their consent.

According to Barrister Ejiofor, a recent legal victory involving two men from Zamfara State, Savitu Abdullahi and Kasimu Aliu, demonstrates this commitment.

He stated that Mazi Nnamdi Kanu personally instructed him to reach out to the families of the two men, who had allegedly remained in detention for over one year and six months without legal representation.

He further stated that Kanu provided financial support for the legal process and related expenses that enabled their case to proceed.

The eventual release of the two men is viewed by Kanu’s supporters as an example of his concern for justice regardless of ethnicity, religion, or region.

They argue that this reflects a broader commitment to defending fundamental rights for all who are denied due process.

Supporters also point to this development in response to statements contained in the judgment of Justice James Omotosho, which they believe portrayed Mazi Nnamdi Kanu as harboring hostility toward northerners.

They contend that the legal assistance reportedly provided to the two Zamfara residents demonstrates a different picture — one of compassion and a willingness to help individuals on the basis of justice rather than ethnic identity.

For many of his supporters, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu represents the ideals of love, equity, fairness, and justice.

They continue to call for his release, expressing the belief that these values should guide the pursuit of justice for every individual, irrespective of background.

Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, they say, is a champion of the people — and should be free.
