“TINUBU BETTER THAN TRUMP?” — JOE IGBOKWE STIRS DEBATE WITH BOLD CLAIM

APC chieftain and former Lagos APC spokesman, Joe Igbokwe, has triggered fresh reactions after reportedly arguing that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has shown stronger leadership than US President Donald Trump.

According to Igbokwe, Tinubu’s willingness to take difficult economic decisions since coming into office in 2023 is evidence of what he described as courageous leadership.

He pointed to major policies such as the removal of the fuel subsidy and changes in the foreign exchange system, insisting that Tinubu has taken steps previous Nigerian presidents were unwilling to attempt.

Igbokwe was quoted as saying:

“In terms of good governance, Tinubu is better than Trump. Trump is talking, Tinubu is acting.”

He also urged Nigerians to remain patient with the current administration, arguing that the full impact of the reforms may take time to become visible. He further expressed support for Tinubu securing another term in 2027.

The statement has since divided opinions, with some Nigerians backing Igbokwe’s assessment while others believe comparing Tinubu’s performance with that of a US president is unnecessary and unrealistic.
