AFO MARKET DAY — WELCOME OCTOBER 2026
🌿 AFO MARKET DAY — WELCOME OCTOBER 2026 🌿
UMUNNEM, UMUIgbo, WE HAVE ENTERED A NEW MONTH!
Today is Afo Market Day, and today is also the 1st day of October 2026.
We woke up this morning not because we are better than those who did not wake up with us.
We are not here to mock anyone.
We are not here to boast because we have made it this far.
We are not here to complain because our plans have not yet become reality, or because someone our age appears to be ahead of us.
We are here because LIFE has given us another morning.
We are here because our bodies still carry us.
We are here because good health has not abandoned us.
We are here because our journey is not yet finished.
So today, we gather with one heart and one voice to give thanks to the forces that have carried us into the land of the living.
We honor our Chi.
We honor our ancestors, Ndichie, those who walked this earth before us and whose footsteps became part of our journey.
We honor the Mothers of the Land, the Earth that receives us, feeds us, and carries the footprints of generations before us.
We do not say we are more righteous than those who are no longer here.
We are simply still on the journey.
Therefore, my brothers and sisters, DO NOT LOSE HOPE.
Yesterday may have been difficult.
Today may still be challenging.
But as long as there is life and good health, there is still a road ahead of you.
May this first day of October open a new path before you.
May October water your way and nourish your life.
May what you need to accomplish this month come within your reach.
May disappointment stay far from your household.
May shame never become your portion.
May your hands touch good things and turn them into testimony.
May those who genuinely wish you success experience success themselves.
And where there is hatred, may goodness overcome it.
Your morning shall carry joy.
Your day shall carry progress.
Your night shall carry peace.
May this October not see your end.
YOU SHALL SEE OCTOBER TO ITS VERY END.
And when October closes, may you look back and say:
“I came through. I survived. I progressed. I have another testimony.”
May this month become a stepping stone toward greater things.
Whatever good you put your hands upon, may it produce something worthy.
May life be kind to you.
May good health remain with you.
May your household know peace.
May your honest efforts receive favor.
And whatever good we sincerely wish for others, may that same goodness find its way back to us.
Today, on this Afo Market Day, we give honor to our Chi.
We give honor to our ancestors who walked this road before us.
We give honor to the Mothers of the Land, whose earth receives every generation.
We stand here with gratitude—not because we have everything, but because we are still here.
OCTOBER, BE GOOD TO US.
AFO, OPEN THE WAY.
CHI, GUIDE US.
NDICHIE, REMEMBER US.
MOTHER EARTH, RECEIVE OUR GOOD INTENTIONS.
May this month bring life, good health, peace, progress, protection and testimony to every son and daughter of Igbo land.
ISE! ISE! ISE! 🌿🔥
