ENOUGH IS ENOUGH! WE CANNOT WATCH NIGERIA BE DIVIDED IN THE NAME OF RELIGION AND UNNECESSARY FANATICISM!!!

I have watched the video. I have listened to the words. I have seen the reactions. And as a Christian and an Apostle of Jesus Christ, I am deeply disappointed, deeply troubled, and deeply concerned.

There comes a time when silence is no longer an option. This is that time.

What was said by Sheikh Sani Yahaya Jingir concerning the Muslim-Muslim ticket and the attempt to draw conclusions about the numerical strength of Muslims and Christians in Nigeria is, in my view, deeply irresponsible, divisive, and completely unacceptable.

Such rhetoric should have no place in a sane society, particularly in a country as religiously diverse and sensitive as Nigeria.

ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!

We cannot continue to allow religion to become a weapon for political manipulation. We cannot continue to make statements capable of creating suspicion, resentment, fear, and division among Nigerians and then pretend that they are harmless words.

A Muslim-Muslim ticket is a political arrangement. It is not a census. The religious identity of two political office holders cannot be presented
as evidence of the numerical superiority
of one faith over another.

Nigeria is bigger than any political ticket.
Nigeria is bigger than any religious personality.
Nigeria is bigger than any political party.
And Nigeria certainly must never become a battlefield for religious supremacy.

What makes this matter even more disturbing to me is the apparent reaction of the Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, during the remarks.
I watched the video and saw what appeared to be laughter and applause.

I was deeply disappointed. As a Christian, I ask: What exactly was being applauded? At a time when responsible leadership should be calling for peace, unity, tolerance, and restraint, public reactions that appear to encourage divisive rhetoric are profoundly troubling.

I will not presume to judge what is in anyone’s heart, that belongs to God. But public conduct matters.

A leader’s words matter.
A leader’s silence matters.
A leader’s applause matters.
A leader’s reaction matters.

The Bible declares:
Death and life are in the power of the tongue. Proverbs 18:21 And James reminds us: “Behold, how great a matter a little fire kindleth! James 3:5

Nigeria has experienced enough religious
tension, ethnic suspicion, political division, and unnecessary conflict. We must not add fuel to the fire.

As an Apostle and a Christian, I will defend the Gospel and stand firmly for the dignity and unity of the Body of Christ. But let me also be absolutely clear: Defending Christianity does not mean hating Muslims. Standing for the Church does not mean attacking Islam. Condemning divisive rhetoric does not mean promoting religious conflict.

We can reject dangerous statements without condemning an entire religion.
We can disagree without becoming enemies.
We can defend our faith without becoming fanatics. And we can speak the truth without abandoning love.

The Scripture commands: Speaking the truth in love. Ephesians 4:15. Therefore, I refuse to be silent. I condemn, in totality, every attempt, whether political, religious, ethnic, or otherwise, to create the impression that Nigeria belongs more to one group than another.

Nigeria belongs to all Nigerians. Christians are Nigerians. Muslims are Nigerians. And every Nigerian citizen deserves equal dignity, equal protection, and equal recognition under the law.

No religious group owns Nigeria.
No political arrangement establishes religious superiority. And no individual, regardless of status or influence, should use religious rhetoric to create unnecessary division among our people.

I therefore call on all well-meaning Nigerians, Christian and Muslim alike, to reject religious fanaticism, inflammatory rhetoric, and every attempt to weaponise faith for political purposes.

Let our religious leaders be responsible with their words. Let our political leaders be responsible with their conduct. Let our public figures understand the enormous consequences of their influence.

We are watching. The Nigerian people are watching. And history will remember how our leaders used their influence at moments when the nation needed wisdom most.

As we approach the 2027 elections, Nigerians will have the opportunity to exercise their constitutional right to choose their leaders through the ballot box.

Let performance be judged. Let competence be judged. Let integrity be judged. Let governance be judged. But let religion never become the instrument through which Nigerians
are set against Nigerians.

I am disappointed. I am angry about what I witnessed. I am deeply troubled by the direction such rhetoric can take our nation. But my anger will not become hatred. My disappointment will not become violence. My Christianity will not permit me to respond to fanaticism with fanaticism. But neither will my Christianity permit me to remain silent in the face of what I believe is wrong.

Jesus Christ called us to be the light of the world.
Therefore, I will speak. I will stand. I will defend the truth. I will defend the Gospel. I will defend the Body of Christ. And I will continue to speak against anything capable of tearing Nigeria apart.

ENOUGH IS ENOUGH! We cannot watch Nigeria be divided in the name of religion. We cannot allow unnecessary fanaticism to destroy the bonds that hold us together. We cannot allow political ambition to turn our faiths against one another. We cannot allow irresponsible rhetoric to set Nigerian against Nigerian.

Nigeria needs healing. Nigeria needs wisdom.
Nigeria needs responsible leadership. Nigeria needs unity. And above all, Nigeria needs leaders who understand that the responsibility of leadership is to unite the people not divide them.

I am a Christian. I am an Apostle. I will speak the truth. I will defend the Gospel. And I will never stand by and watch Nigeria be torn apart in the name of religion. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!
