Eri himself was of Igalamela, and he ruled as Attah Igala when Igalaogba and Igalamela were the two groups in Idah.
The two groups were providing the ruler in rotational form but the palace of Attah was located in Opu-Attah where Igalamela people stayed, in the same Idah vicinity and location.

Igalamela were then made up of 7 clans not 9 clans, before Eri who is fully called “Ogala Eri” but written by some researchers as “Egara Eri”, ruled as Attah Igala.

The Attah before Attah Ogala Eri was Attah Ogu who was buried in the earth tumulus, an ancient Egypt burial grave replica.

Ogala Eri during his reign had a problem, and was chased out of Opu-Attah by Attah Aji who became the next Attah Igala.

Upon Leaving Idah, Ogala Eri continued wearing the “Attah regalia and observing most of the Attah-Igala rituals”.

From the names of his children: Agulu, Onogu, Onoja, Umueri and Iguedo, it is most likely that he had the children before he left Idah.
Also, his only daughter, Iguedo married Iru, a man from Opata clan in Idah too. It is likely that Iru had already married his daughter even when Eri was still in Idah, but all had to join him from Idah since he was no longer the King. Do you know Opu-Attah in Idah?
